Support for you
Victim services is an accredited service delivered by Disability Together within the Devon Victim Care Network, funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
We help disabled and Deaf adults across Devon (including Torbay) overcome the emotional and practical effects of crime – whether the incident has been reported to the police or not.
In 2022–2024, we supported 41 disabled and Deaf victims of crime to access the help they needed and begin to recover
We are not a crisis service.
If you feel you might harm yourself or are in immediate danger, call 999.
Explain your rights under the Victims’ Code of Practice and signpost to medical, legal or financial support.
Help you develop strategies to stay safe, including liaising with relevant agencies if needed.
Do not suffer in silence.
Referrals come from the Victim Care Unit.
Yes – funding is provided by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, so there’s no cost to you.
Support is tailored to your needs – some people need just a few sessions, others benefit from several months of contact.
We will engage an official BSL interpreter if required.
All conversations are confidential unless there’s a risk to life or safety, in which case we follow safeguarding procedures.
