A government-funded scheme providing support to disabled and Deaf people to get into and stay in paid work.
Information and advice
Access to Work is a UK government-funded programme that helps disabled and Deaf people overcome barriers in the workplace. It provides grants for practical support that goes beyond what your employer must legally provide. It covers equipment, communication support, transport and workplace modifications to help you succeed in your job. It ensures your health condition or disability does not stop you from working.
You may qualify if you have a disability or health condition that affects your ability to work and you are already working or about to start a paid job.
The scheme can fund practical support to help you perform your role effectively and safely.
You can apply online or by phone using the GOV.UK portal or through local Access to Work services.
Many applicants face long delays before receiving support, which can affect job retention.
We are not a crisis service.
