The Bovey Tracey Audio Club is part of Disability Together’s Disability Ambassador Service, offering a welcoming and supportive space to explore local history through sound and storytelling. Working with the Bovey Tracey Heritage Centre, the group listens to recordings made in the 1980s of people sharing their life experiences from the 1920s to the 1950s, with some recordings brought to life through videos and photographs reflecting the times and places discussed. A trained Disability Ambassador volunteer is on hand to welcome those referred through the service and provide support in their first couple of sessions. To find out more, please email info@disabilitytogether.org.uk or make a self‑referral, and we will be in touch to arrange an initial call.
