Andrew is a former Chairman of Vranch House in Exeter, a school and clinical centre for children with physical disabilities, where he also worked as Marketing Manager from 2013–2020. He holds a degree in Financial Services from Bournemouth University and has held roles with NatWest, Barclays Investment and GE Capital Finance.

From 2001 to 2013, Andrew worked in the NHS across project management, clinical audit, information governance and equality and diversity. He has since re-joined the NHS locally as an Information Governance Consultant. Outside of work, Andrew is a football reporter for BBC Radio Devon and other BBC stations.

Susan has worked at the University of Exeter since 2016 and previously worked in International Development and Housing. Susan has worked for numerous charities including Bloodwise, VSO, and Christian Aid. She was previously Treasurer on the Board of Housing Justice.

Following a successful military career, Richard retrained as an arborist until a spinal injury led him to shift into technology and digital accessibility. He later applied his expertise in machine-readable content to software development and has since become a specialist in AI-driven e-commerce.

Richard has supported some of the world’s largest e-commerce companies to enhance customer experiences, strengthen marketing campaigns and develop inclusive digital ideas. He joined the Disability Together Board of Trustees in 2019 and also serves as an HMCG Rescue Officer.

Tina lives and works in Devon, a registered nurse in mental health and general care. She is currently owner of a nursing coaching and facilitation business which supports health care organisations and universities. Tina worked in the NHS for most of her career and as a director of a hospice in the charity sector. She also worked as a senior fellow for the Royal College of Nursing and as a senior lecturer at Plymouth University.

Passionate about inclusion, kindness and community, Tina is dedicated to helping organisations and teams realise their potential. She also works as an independent celebrant, enjoys reading and writing, and brings lived experience as the child of a parent with a hearing impairment, and as someone with a long-term health condition herself. Tina believes in inclusion and hearing everyone’s voices, especially the quiet ones.  

Catherine has worked extensively in healthcare for over 30 years, beginning her career as a nurse and moving into the field of healthcare improvement at local, national, and international level. She has led and supported many large-scale change initiatives that have created improvements for many thousands of people.

Her special interests are large-scale whole system service redesign, mobilising and organising for improvement, utilising motivational approaches to change, developing leaders and working with teams to know hope through know-how.

Charlie is passionate about social justice and equality. He looks forward to working with the executive team and fellow trustees to develop Disability Together’s strategic thinking, user engagement and public profile.

He has lived with a disability for twenty years after breaking his back in the military. His spinal cord injury left him dependent upon crutches to walk and sometimes using a wheelchair.

He is active in the veteran-disability community, most notably assisting a range of veterans with military ill-health pension and benefit matters, including tribunal advocacy

Sam has over 20 years’ experience in a variety of roles spanning sales and marketing, project management and process management.

He has active experience of living with a disability having cerebella ataxia. This brings understanding and empathy for challenges others face in their disability journey.

Sam is active in work based disability networks providing support and equal opportunities. You will often find him out exploring Devon on his adventure trike or doing lengths in the pool.

Tracey has worked at the University of Exeter in a range of finance roles since 2005.

She enjoys cooking from scratch, trying new recipes, and spending time outdoors in the Devon countryside, walking her dog using her mobility scooter or hiring a Tramper through Countryside Mobility. She also enjoys reading and the occasional adrenaline rush. In 2018, she received a scholarship to learn to fly a plane and has since taken part in driving experiences at Silverstone Circuit.

These opportunities were made possible through charities supporting disabled people across the UK. Becoming a Disability Together Trustee is her way of giving something back locally and recognising the impact of this support.

Tracey has limited mobility due to Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia, a progressive neurological condition similar to MS. She also volunteers with ReROOTed, a Devon charity focused on reducing food waste, and was previously a member of her GP surgery’s Patient Participation Group.
